Portola

Built in 1910 by the Western Pacific Railroad, Portola is the only incorporated city in Plumas County and serves as the civic hub for the area. Schools and hospital, groceries and gas, this workingman’s town boasts two parks, a municipal swimming pool and a river walk, and is the home of the world-renown Feather River Rail Museum.
